Second Quantum+ Consortium Meeting in Bilbao

The Quantum+ consortium gathered for its second project meeting in Bilbao, Spain, on April 2–3, 2025. The event was hosted by Cluster GAIA, who provided an excellent setting for two days of collaboration and forward momentum.

The meeting marked a key milestone in the project’s mission to design an innovative curriculum and training platform for quantum technologies. With a shared goal of preparing Europe’s future quantum workforce, the partners reviewed progress and outlined next steps for the development of educational pathways targeting students, professionals, and educators across the continent.

One of the highlights of the meeting was a fruitful exchange with Lantik S.A., who shared Bizkaia’s regional strategy and commitment to advancing quantum innovation. This dialogue reinforced the strong alignment between local initiatives and the broader European vision promoted by Quantum+.

The consortium also had the opportunity to visit the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and its Applied Electronics Research Team (APERT). Their work at the intersection of microelectronics and quantum technology offered valuable insights into research trends and future applications.

As the project progresses, Quantum+ remains committed to equipping learners and organizations with the skills needed to navigate and lead in the emerging quantum era.
